Photographer Sam Davis vs Eel species

 Photographer Sam Davis captured an astonishing moment when a large heron’s stomach was releasing an eel while the bird was in flight! 

This eel species is known for its ability to puncture the stomach of its predator with its sharp tail, and after being swallowed, it desperately tried to break free. 

Unfortunately, the eel couldn’t escape in time. Davis, who had been out photographing foxes and eagles, only discovered this incredible scene while reviewing his photos at home. 

"I could see the eel's eyes—it was still alive," he recalls. 

Experts have confirmed that such behavior has been observed before, but capturing it in a photograph is extremely rare.
